We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team! You'll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant patrons to enjoy.
You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience as a cook, you are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team environment. Ideally, you are ServeSafe or Food Handler certified.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or service areas, to ensure safe and hygienic food handling practices.
Ensure the freshness of food and ingredients by verifying their quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating inventory.
Ensure that food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and rotisserie.
Season and cook food according to recipes or personal criteria and experience.
Flip or stir food to ensure even cooking.
Respond to customer feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a restaurant cook (preferred).
ServeSafe or Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain it).
Effective communication skills.
Ability to lift more than 30 pounds (13.6 kg).
Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more.
